Owl Creek is a flooring retailer, not an installer. We provide the product, underlayment, transitions, and technical guidance your contractor or DIY project needs.

Measure & Plan

Bring room dimensions or floor plans. We calculate square footage with 10% waste factor and recommend transition profiles for doorways and height changes.

Subfloor Check

We provide moisture testing guidelines for concrete and plywood subfloors. Products ship with manufacturer acclimation requirements printed on each carton.

Underlayment & Accessories

Foam, cork, and rubber underlayment, moisture barriers, tack strip, reducer strips, and stair nosing stocked alongside floor products.

Delivery or Will-Call

Full cartons and partial boxes staged for pickup at Whitcomb Way or delivered to your job site on scheduled Casper-area routes.

Subfloor Prep

Start With a Flat, Dry Base

Concrete Slabs

Moisture readings must be below manufacturer limits — typically 4 lbs per 24 hours on calcium chloride test. Vapor barrier required under laminate and engineered wood on grade.

Plywood & OSB

Subfloor should be flat within 3/16 inch over 10 feet. Screw down squeaky panels, fill low spots with leveling compound, and sand high spots before install.

Existing Floor Removal

We do not remove old flooring, but we advise on whether tile, vinyl, or carpet can be overlaid versus requiring full tear-out to the subfloor.

Lighting and room size change how flooring looks. Our loan program lets you live with samples before committing to full cartons.

Free 48-Hour Loan

Borrow up to three full-size samples per visit. Return within 48 hours — no deposit required for local homeowners and contractors with an account.

Paid Take-Home Samples

Keep select samples for extended evaluation. Sample fee credited toward your purchase when you order within 30 days.

On-Site Showroom Boards

Full display boards for hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet under showroom lighting at our Whitcomb Way location — open weekdays 8 AM–5 PM.

Curbside Loading

Contractor accounts receive forklift-assisted loading for pallet orders. Call ahead to stage full-carton orders before your crew arrives.

Three volume tiers based on monthly square footage. Mixed-product orders across hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet count toward your tier.

Job Site Drop

Delivery to active construction sites within Casper city limits. Driver places cartons in garage or covered entry — not inside finished rooms.

Common Questions

Do you install flooring?

Owl Creek Retail sells flooring products only. We can recommend local installers upon request, but installation is handled by your contractor or as a DIY project using our product specs and manufacturer guides.

How much extra should I order for waste?

Standard recommendation is 10% over measured square footage for straight installs and 15% for diagonal or complex layouts. Stair treads and closet floors add additional square footage — bring full room dimensions for accurate quotes.

Can I return unused cartons?

Unopened full cartons in resalable condition may be returned within 30 days with receipt. Custom orders and opened boxes are final sale. Restocking fee may apply on special-order products.

Do you carry waterproof laminate?

Yes. We stock water-resistant and fully waterproof laminate and vinyl plank products rated for kitchens, baths, and basement installations. Ask for our wet-area product list at the showroom.

Do you sell to homeowners or only contractors?

Both. Homeowners receive retail pricing and access to our sample loan program. Contractors and builders qualify for volume tiers with net-30 terms on approved accounts.
